Manage DNS records for a Tecapy domain

View, add, and delete DNS records while keeping registrar-managed records protected.

Open Manage DNS
Go to Settings → Domains, find the Active domain under Domains purchased through Tecapy, and choose Manage DNS. The fetched table shows each record’s name, type, value, and TTL. This table manages records; View DNS status under a connected hostname checks its storefront connection.
Add a record using the service’s instructions
Enter the Name / Host, choose the record type, enter the Value, and set the TTL in seconds. Use @ for the root or a host such as www when the service’s instructions call for it. The default TTL is 3600 seconds; the minimum is 60. Supported types include A, AAAA, CNAME, TXT, MX, NS, CAA, and SRV.
Save and check the result
Choose Add record and wait for confirmation. The table refreshes after the change. Use the values supplied by the service you are connecting rather than guessing, especially for email and verification records. DNS changes may take time to propagate.
Delete an editable record carefully
Choose Delete beside a record you no longer need and confirm. Removing a record can interrupt your storefront, email, or another connected service. The delete buttons are disabled while the request is processing so you do not send it twice.
Leave protected records in place
Openprovider nameserver records and SOA records are marked Protected and cannot be deleted here. They support the domain’s DNS service. Contact info@tecapy.com if you need help changing registrar-managed settings.
Clear the fetched DNS table
Choose Clear DNS to hide the table and its add-record form. This only clears the displayed results; it does not delete any DNS records. Domain details remain visible if you fetched them separately. Choose Manage DNS to load the records again.
