Choose how to set up your store domain

Decide whether to connect a domain you own or find a new address through Tecapy.

Open Domains for the right store
Select your store in the workspace, then open Settings → Domains. Your store already has its own {slug}.mytecapy.com address; adding a custom domain gives customers another address for the same storefront.
Connect a domain you already own
If your store has no connected domain, choose Connect a domain I own to add a hostname bought from another provider. You will need access to that provider’s DNS settings.
Find a new domain
Choose Find a new domain to search and register an address through Tecapy. The search starts with a suggestion based on your store name. A suggestion is not a reservation: search to check availability and see the price.
Change your choice when needed
Before connecting your first domain, use Change domain option to return to the two choices. If a domain is already connected, your store’s domains and connection controls appear above the domain search.
Understand the two domain lists
Your store’s domains lists the hostnames connected to your storefront. Domains purchased through Tecapy lists saved registration requests and domains bought through Tecapy. Buying a domain and connecting it to your store are separate steps. Your store can connect up to two hostnames, such as example.com and www.example.com.
